Isabelle Severs was born in Brussels, Belgium. She completed her professional dancer training at the John Cranko School in Stuttgart. After her first professional experiences with the Stuttgart Ballet under the direction of Marcia Haydée, she joined the Munich Opera Ballet (Bayerisches Staatsballett). She continued her career from 1996 to 1999 in Berlin at the invitation of Richard Cragun, before returning in 2000 to Munich, this time under the direction of Ivan Lìska. Isabelle is the winner of the Irène Lejeune 2011 prize, awarded for the solo created for her by Simone Sandroni. She has worked with many choreographers such as Mats Ek, Jìrì Kylian, Jacopo Godani, William Forsythe, Itzik Galili, Angelin Preljocaj, and many others. Since September 2015, Isabelle Severs has been teaching at the academy of the Munich School of Music and Theater (Hochschule für Musik und Theater München).
