Cyril Baldy, dancer, choreographer, teacher, and coach, has had an international career for over 30 years. Trained at the CNSMD in Paris, he danced with the Jeune Ballet de France, the Nederlands Dans Theater under Jirí Kylián, then at the Frankfurt Ballet and The Forsythe Company, where he collaborated with William Forsythe until 2014. Since then, he has pursued a freelance career as a choreographer, educator, and stager of Forsythe’s works, with companies such as Ballet BC, NDT, the Opéra de Lyon, and Pacific Northwest Ballet. His own creations include With Love and All That (2025, CNSMDP), Nonsense and Other Matters (2024, Arts Umbrella), and Variation(s) for a Few (2019, Tanzplattform Rhein-Main). Creator of the “Sentient” method, he teaches at international institutions such as PARTS, HZT Berlin, and Hubbard Street Chicago. A committed artist, he combines transmission, creation, and innovation to promote choreographic art.
