Mena AVOLIO

Born in Italy, Mena studies Ballet, Jazz, Modern and Contemporary in Geneva, London and Toronto. During her career as a dancer and performer she participates in numerous creations in Switzerland, Europe and Canada. As a choreographer she collaborates with Alain Tanner for movies, Claude Strass for opera, Pierre Naftule for the Geneva Revue. She choreographs several events in Switzerland and Europe, and also works with theaters, public or private in Switzerland. In 2005 she sets up her Company Ô’Bains, the creation Parle-moi was presented in New York as part of The Next Stage Project festival at the City Center Dance Studios. She teaches Modern, Modern Jazz and Barre à terre in several schools. Teaches at Dance Area since 2012.
