L’Area Jeune Ballet présente un triple bill audacieux, interprété par 22 jeunes danseurs talentueux.
Finnish choreographer Kristian Lever’s creation explores themes of alienation, identity and our connection to the world. The dancers reveal the brutality and dehumanization of modern life, while illustrating individual struggles and triumphs in an ever-changing environment. The piece suggests that beyond disconnection, there is a potential for renewal
Cuban choreographer Juliano Nunes explores the transience of the everyday, questioning the value of fleeting moments through a reflection on life, death, love and the quest for happiness.
Finally, Erion Kruja, former dancer of Hofesh Shechter, takes us to the extremes of love with dancers embodying a generation of “fighters of love”, determined to overcome obstacles for a future full of hope. This piece puts the physical endurance of the performers to the test in an explosive way.
Composed of young international artists aged 18 to 22, the Area Jeune Ballet, from the Dance Area Higher Education program in Geneva, aims to be much more than just a company: it is a unique platform for expression, a real springboard to the profession.
