Calypso FOTI

Calypso Foti is a Swiss choreographic and freestyle dancer, with her main bases in hip-hop, commercial, and Waacking. Starting dance late, she became interested in and touched on many styles such as classical, modern jazz, street jazz with Fériel Gharbi, or even afro-fusion (Amapiano, Azonto) with Christina Opoku in particular. She then went to South Korea in 2020 and 2022, where she trained in intensives and in the biggest studios in the country, including the Just Jerk Academy, 1Million Dance Studio, Play the Urban, etc. At the same time, she began Waacking with Annabelle Da Fonte and Geo-ul (South Korea). Back in Switzerland, she became a member of Perla Person’s freestyle hiphop group Fighting Spirit in 2023, and continues to train with the greatest European artists, in both freestyle and choreography, notably in Amsterdam, Paris, and Germany. Impossible to put into a box, she regularly produces choreographic and freestyle visuals mixing her Hiphop and Waacking influences with commercial and her own experimental style, while also starting to perform as a professional dancer in Switzerland.
