Francesco CURCI

Professor and choreographer

Francesco studied dance at Progetto Danza Reggio Emilia, Scuola del Balletto di Toscana and Codarts Rotterdam Dance Academy. During his professional career, he danced in various contemporary repertoire companies in Italy and the Netherlands.

In 2013 he was nominated for “The Swan 2013”, the prestigious Dutch dance award from the Theater and Concert Hall Management Association (VSCD), in the category of “most impressive dancers” for his role in the play “How Long Is Now” by Conny Janssen Danst.

Francesco also works as a freelance choreographer. He created several pieces which are performed in the Netherlands, France, Italy, Spain, Hong Kong and Japan. He is regularly invited as a teacher across Europe and has been teaching since 2014 at the PNSD Rosella Hightower. He is also in charge of the rehearsals of the contemporary repertoire of the Cannes Jeune ballet.

In addition to his career as a dancer, Francesco also obtained a degree in research psychological and social by correspondence at La Sapienza University of Rome (faculty of medicine and psychology).
